ComputerWizard Consulting also creates Custom Defined Function (CDF) libraries for use with DataEase for DOS and DataEase for Windows. CDF libraries can contain one or more special-purpose functions that extend the capabilities of DataEase beyond those provided by Sapphire.
Some of our libraries are “DonationWare”; there’s no charge for their
use, but we encourage you to make a minimum donation of $25.00 to a charity of your
choice. Others are shareware—try them out, and if you continue to use them, register
and pay for them on-line via the secure payment services of RegSoft.com (for more
information on the company, just click on the banner below; to register the
individual utilities, click on the appropriate button in the product listing).

Registration is voluntary—we don’t insist that you register in order to download any of software—but we’d like to keep a list for so we can inform you of updates, bug fixes, and new libraries, utilities or programs. ComputerWizard Consulting will not sell, rent, loan or otherwise provide the list to others.

In our Technical Articles/Papers page, you can download a single-function library, wizDocumentClose(), that can close a Document (form, menu, report or DQL) if you specify the name of the document. See the paper “Dynamic Lookups in DfW, Part I” for more details. Both 16-bit and 32-bit versions are available for downloading there. The version included in the demo database is the 16-bit version. If you want to run the demo database with DataEase 6, you will need to download and install the 32-bit version as well.
