ZZ Does It!! provides the best version control and update management tool for DataEase. One of DataEase’s strengths has always been the .DIN (DataEase Installation file/script) that allows a developer to install new or updated tables, forms and reports into an existing application. Good practice dictates that you make changes on a backup or development copy of the system—ZZ Does It!! lets you take a “snapshot” of the system before and after any changes, compare the two, and automagically create the update script.

ZZ Does It!! also includes utilities for:

Sorting and Reorganzing System Forms
Sorting and Reorganizing Menus and Relationships
Identifying files in the application directory that don’t belong to the database. Once the files are identified, you can select some or all for deletion, and then delete them—a terrific way to clean out your directories of old, unwanted files. (This is one of my favourite tools, along with the .DIN file creation.)
ZZ Menu Builder—a tool to create Menus with more than nine line items!

ZZ Does It!! can analyze DataEase DOS 4.x and 5.x applications, but creates a DataEase DOS v5.x database of your application (so you can add your own reports), but you must own a copy of DataEase 5.x first.
